How does it work?

In 4 simple steps, you can unlock great savings on your fuel costs:
Register for an Esso Card™ here using your computer, phone or tablet. Simply add a few details about yourself and the application will be submitted in minutes.
Receive your Esso Card™
Once the application has been processed your Esso Card™ will be sent out to you and your personalised PIN code will be available online in your Esso Card™ account.
Fill up
You can use your Esso Card™ at over 1,200 fuel stations throughout the UK. Once you have filled up, simply present your fuel card to the attendant to pay for your fuel using your pin code.
Automatic payment
The transaction is automatically charged to the payment card linked to your Esso Card™ account at the discounted rate. VAT receipts and a full history of your fuel purchases can be viewed in your online account at any time.

Our agreed payment method is by debit/credit card. As part of our account opening process you will be sent a secure link from our card processing provider ELAVON. This will enable you to register and manage your nominated debit/credit card to pay for your fuel purchases securely.

No, it is completely free to sign up for an Esso Card™.

Your debit/credit details are stored by ELAVON, one of the world's leading card processing providers. WES Europe Services does not store any of your debit/credit card details.
Your bank details are not required as payments for fuel are made by you using your nominated debit/credit card.

Your Esso CardTM will be accepted in all Esso branded service stations in the United Kingdom.

You can download the e-route app from Google Play or App Store which will help you identify your nearest Esso branded service station. You can also map out the stations on your route.

No, you cannot use the Esso App to pay with your Esso Card™. If you pay using the Esso App instead of your Esso Card™, you will not receive your discount on your fuel.

Unfortunately no, the Esso Card™ is a Blue Light Card member benefit. If you are no longer a member you will no longer be eligible and your account will be closed.

The unique PIN is required for all transactions. If you cannot remember your PIN you will not be able to use your Esso Card™. You are able to log into your customer portal to retrieve your PIN. If you are unable to do so, the solution is to pay using an alternative method.

Your card will lock if the PIN is entered incorrectly 3 times. Your PIN will unlock overnight. If you need to locate your PIN you can find this in your customer portal.

You are not required to give this information. This is for business customers to keep track of the mileage on their company vehicle. You can decline to give this information as it is not required.

You will be provided with a receipt from the petrol station showing the amount of fuel you have purchased as well as the pump price. Once we have received this transaction from the petrol station we will charge your registered payment method at the discounted rate. Once this charge has been processed you will receive a VAT receipt via email, you can also download a copy of the receipt when logged into your customer portal.

No, you may only receive your discount when you purchase fuel with your Esso Card™. If you do not have your fuel card, you will need to use an alternative method of paying for your fuel.

Receipts are emailed to you once we have processed your payment. You can also view and download your receipts on your online member account at any time.

When you receive your Esso Card™ you will need to activate it via the customer portal. This will reveal your Esso Card™ PIN. Make sure you write this down, so that you have it for you purchase fuel.

When you fuel up, hand your Esso Card™ to the cashier for payment. They will swipe your card and may ask for your mileage and registration number. This is normally a requirement for business mileage and so you don't need to provide this if you don't want to.

You will receive a receipt at the cashier which has the price at the pump on the day. This will not detail your discount. This payment with your discount deducted will be taken from your payment card within 2-3 business days. You'll receive a sales receipt in your customer portal and via email when payment is taken.

Your sales receipt should usually appear in your customer portal within 2-3 business days, once your payment is taken. You will receive an email with your Sales Receipt too.

Your card security is our priority and so we want to make sure the card attached to the Esso Card™ is yours. To do this we require a £0.01 transaction to validate your card and complete your application for the Esso Card™

As a security feature of your Esso Card™ is limited to the following fuel spend:
